Transport for London (TfL) identified a slope failure adjacent to the operational railway at Acton. This project will provide a permanent engineering solution to restore long-term slope stability, protect nearby properties and infrastructure, and ensure the continued safe operation of the railway network.

Scope Overview

We are delivering the Acton Embankment EM3 Stabilisation Works on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) following an emergency slope failure at the C144 embankment, which resulted in embankment slippage and compromised the stability of the structure. The incident presented a potential risk to both the operational railway infrastructure and neighbouring residential properties. Following the implementation of interim stabilisation measures to mitigate immediate risks, we have been appointed to deliver the permanent remediation solution.

Our scope includes the design development, supply and installation of enabling and groundworks to support the stabilisation required to restore the long-term integrity of the embankment, protect adjacent assets and ensure the continued safe operation of the railway.

Following a visit from the TfL project team, the project was awarded both the TfL Quality Benchmark Site Award, recognising the outstanding standards of quality management achieved by the Galldris team throughout the delivery of the works.
