Project Overview
The project required vegetation clearance following ecological and arboricultural assessments, which confirmed there were no protected trees or species within the affected area. Our permanent stabilisation solution incorporated a combination of soil nailing, bored piles, H-piles and slope regrading to mitigate landslip risks and improve long-term slope stability.
Scope Overview
Our scope included a slope stabilisation and earthworks package adjacent to the operational Central line. Our works included bored piles, king post wall installation, embankment stabilisation, drainage improvements, slope regrading, sheet pile retaining walls and soil nailing solutions to improve long-term ground stability. The majority of the works were undertaken alongside the live railway during operational hours, with specific activities completed during engineering possessions to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
Following a visit from the TfL project team, the project was awarded both the TfL Beacon Site Award and TfL Quality Benchmark Site Award, recognising the outstanding standards of health, safety, environmental management and quality achieved by the Galldris team throughout the delivery of the works.
